Alexander Isak’s injury spoiled the fun for the Reds despite a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday, December 21 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Reds currently sit fifth in the Premier League table with 29 points from 17 games.

Currently, Liverpool has won three consecutive games in all competitions. However, the Reds suffered a setback as Alexander Isak suffered an injury while scoring his first goal for the Reds. According to the latest reports, Isaac suffered a broken leg, which is very bad news for his club.

Isaac, who scored the Reds’ third goal against Liverpool on Saturday, limped off the pitch after being tackled by Mickey van de Veen as he shot. It was a setback for the 26-year-old Swedish striker, who came on only in the second half when Liverpool looked to extend their advantage to a goal.

Xavi Simons’ red card in the first half gave Liverpool the opportunity to take off right-back Connor Bradley and move Ugo Ekitic to the right wing in place of Dominik Szoboszlai. Isaac then replaced Ekitek as center forward.

The Swede scored through a pass from Florian Wirtz, who registered his first assist in the Premier League this season. He shot with his left foot for the first time, buying time for Van de Ven who was trying to mark him. However, the Reds’ fun was subsequently spoiled by an ankle injury suffered by Alexander Isak following a tackle on Van de Veen, who will hope it is nothing serious.
