Injuries continue to pile up for Bayern Munich’s goalkeeper; this is yet another crisis the club finds itself in.
It’s a shame that Bavarian fans have had to get used to, especially over the past few seasons, the club having an epidemic of injuries around the spring, which also coincides with the decisive weeks and months of the season.
The problem so far this year has particularly been injuries to Bayern Munich’s goalkeeper.

The issues surrounding Bayern Munich’s goalkeeper’s injuries this season are so serious they could almost be funny in a cynical way, if they weren’t so serious.
First-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is making progress after a calf muscle injury, but a return for Wednesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Atalanta is still too early for him.
Neuer’s replacement Jonas Urbiger suffered a concussion before the final whistle of the first leg in Italy. Whether Ubbig will recover in time for Wednesday is an open question.
Meanwhile, third-string goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, who played in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen for the first time in a long time, suffered a torn right adductor muscle, the club announced on Sunday, worsening the Bayern goalkeeper’s injury situation.
Ulreich finished the Leverkusen game, but was naturally unable to play for the time being.
Leon Kranak, Bayern Munich’s nominal first-choice goalkeeper from the reserve side, has himself been sidelined for some time with an injury, bringing the Bayern Munich goalkeepers’ injury tally to an incredible four.

Next we want to introduce is 16-year-old Leonard Prescott (Leonard Prescott), who was born in New York and is a German under-17 international.
He will become the youngest goalkeeper to date to feature in a senior competitive game for Bayern Munich, as the current record holder in the division is Sven Scheuer, who made his debut for the club in the 1989 European Cup victory over Rangers at the age of 18 years and 237 days.

Champions League first leg lead
If things continue as they are and Bayern does have to rely on Prescott to score on Wednesday, the Bavarians have at least a five-goal advantage and a familiar home ground to fall back on.
This certainly sets a very solid foundation to move on to the next round, but miracles do happen in football from time to time.
The injury to Bayern Munich’s goalkeeper certainly makes such a “miracle” more likely, not less.
However, if it’s Prescott, then he’ll certainly be working with an experienced back four that will certainly do its best to protect the young goalkeeper.
Bayern Munich goalkeeper injuries: Solid lead
Despite the constant injuries, Bayern’s situation is still quite solid.
They have a nine-point lead in the Bundesliga, a five-goal lead in the Champions League last 16, and an away win over Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals to reach the DFB-Pokal final.
However, it does mean that Di Roten has a lot to lose as well, which is why there is no room for relaxation regardless of the current injury situation in the squad.
