The last blog I gave to subscribers (if you haven’t signed up to receive my monthly style updates, you can sign up here) is a familiar tongue looking at the more ridiculous fashion trends in 2024. They prove that we should not follow the trend for this – it is easy to say for this, not to do it because we are often bombarded by them, not to do it!
It was tempting to buy the new “hot” items we saw on social posts, only to find it not for us and sitting in the closet wouldn’t be suitable. So how can you avoid being affected and instead create a wardrobe that suits you, seamlessly fits your lifestyle and works hard for you?
Please follow these three key tips to help you do this: –
1. Your reasons
Write down three reasons why you want to update your wardrobe. Think beyond “boring, tired, fed up” and dig deeper into why you do this. Are there special circumstances that trigger these feelings, such as if you are not satisfied with your work outfits because you are not confident in them? When meeting friends, are you “bored” with the clothes you wear when you meet friends?
The process of clarifying when and why you struggle will help you focus on the details of what you need, rather than buying random items quickly.
2. Your lifestyle
Your wardrobe needs to be consistent with your current lifestyle. I mean, you love wearing what you like to wear every day. Over the years, your work roles, characters, family status and daily activities have changed and you have to adapt to your wardrobe.
During my wardrobe editing, I often saw clients living their lives with clothes that were no longer outfits (or fits). Your wardrobe must be consistent with who you are today or it will freeze in time, leaving you with nothing to do.
Note the two or three major events you do per month and how many clothes you make for them. Make sure they are clothes you actually like to wear, too. Do you have enough clothing to live the lifestyle, or will you be the same as ‘That than’s to thage of than’s?
3. Your goal
Think about what you want to achieve in 2025 and how you want to emerge. Are you promoting, starting a business or starting a new joint venture at work? Write down a goal that you can view every day and keep in mind when you’re dressed.
A client who is recovering from injuries recently, the impact of menopause hopes her wardrobe will be happier. By keeping this in mind when choosing styles and creating clothing, I ensured the introduction to be implemented. ‘Amazing! ‘She is the way she describes her new wardrobe.
Taking a moment to focus on these points will make it easier to wear and shop. If you do need to shop, you will be interested in shopping without being lingered by items that don’t fit you.
