Are you wearing 10 pairs of shoes during your two-week holiday?

When the suitcase space is high, the last thing you have to do is carry unnecessary luggage. Shoes in particular can be heavy and awkward, so you need to carefully choose the packaged shoes.

You need the right style to nail the clothes, but avoid bringing styles that you only wear once. The shoes you pack must be versatile and comfortable, and must also be stylish unless you look like travel shoes during your stay.

Since many clients ask me to help them pack their trip, I spend a lot of time making the best shoes for (most) holidays. I also have a husband who thinks 5 kg of luggage space is too much, so I have gently developed the art of packaging.

Here are three styles that I will never take a vacation, three styles that I will: –

I will never pack my shoes for holidays: –

High heel

The cobbled streets and ancient paving stones don’t blend well with the heels. It’s lovely to have a relaxing stroll during the holidays, but the heels aren’t that easy.

Flat ballet

Most holiday wardrobes are made up of medium-length styles, and when worn by ballet flats, the proportions are wrong. They are closed, which is not good in hot climates, plus many high street style constructions are like slippers – so not suitable for supporting feet!

I get it, your cowboy boots are nice to wear that outfit. I realize it makes them tempting to pack, but when you wear them you just end up feeling hot and bothering. Even high tops can be uncomfortable in heat, especially when they are canvas.

They are strong, comfortable, and work with everything. Another bonus is that they are a useful style that allows you to easily slide and wear the airport when you get off.

There are some gorgeous and varied cuisine around. If your holiday outfit needs a certain height, the wedge style is perfect, but there are also a lot of great flat styles around it. I am a big fan of the Castaner series.

Leather thong or slippers

Plastic slippers are perfect for the pool, but leather pairs are perfect for the evenings. The front of the V is very flattering because it stretches the legs, so it’s a great style if your calves and ankles are heavy.
